Actress Nichelle Nichols Dies at 89
In sad news, actress Nichelle Nichols, has passed away at the age of 89! Ms. Nichols (1932-2022) was best remembered for her role as Nyota Uhura in the Star Trek franchise. But, she did appear in live-action Disney in the film, Snow Dogs.
She shall be missed!
Actor David Warner Dies at 80
In sad news, actor David Warner, has recently passed away at the age of 80. Mr. Warner (1941-2022) was known for appearing in a number of films over the years including The Omen, Time After Time, A Christmas Carol, Titanic, and the Star Trek series.
In terms of live-action Disney, he appeared in Tron as well as Mary Poppins Returns.
He shall be missed!
Actor Robert Morse Dies at 90
In sad news, the actor, Robert Morse, has passed away at the age of 90. Mr. Morse (1931-2022) was famous for his roles in the musical and subsequent film, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, as well as the TV series, Mad Men. He also appeared in the live-action Disney film, The Boatniks.

Actor Howard Hesseman Dies at 81
In sad news, actor Howard Hesseman has sadly passed away the age of 81 due to complications from colon surgery. Mr. Hesseman (1940-2022) was most famous for his TV roles as DJ Dr. Johnny Fever on WKRP in Cincinnati and schoolteacher, Charlie Moore, on Head of the Class.
He also appeared in many films over the years including the live-action Disney film, Flight of the Navigator.

Actor Tommy Kirk Dies at 79
In sad news, the Disney legend, Tommy Kirk, has passed away at the age of 79. It’s impossible to talk about live-action Disney and not mention Tommy Kirk (1941-2021)! He appeared as Joe Hardy in the The Mickey Mouse Club serial, The Hardy Boys, and went on to appear in multiple live-action Disney films including Old Yeller, The Shaggy Dog, Swiss Family Robinson, The Absent-Minded Professor, Babes in Toyland, and The Misadventures of Merlin Jones. He appeared in a number of non-Disney films as well, although his fame would arguably be connected to Disney.

Actor Ed Asner Dies at 91
The actor, Ed Asner, has sadly passed away today at the age of 91. Mr. Asner (1929-2021) appeared in multiple films and television series throughout the years including The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Lou Grant, Elf, and Pixar’s Up.
In terms of live-action Disney, he appeared in the 1976 film, Gus.

Actress and Comedienne, Cloris Leachman, Dies at 94
In sad news, veteran actress and comedienne, Cloris Leachman, has passed away at the age of 94. Ms. Leachman (1926-2021) was probably most famous for her television role as Phyllis Lindstrom in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spinoff, Phyllis.
She appeared in multiple films throughout her career including The Last Picture Show, Young Frankenstein, High Anxiety, The Muppet Movie, History of the World, Part I, A Troll in Central Park, The Iron Giant, and The Croods. She also appeared in a few live-action Disney films including Charley and the Angel, The North Avenue Irregulars, Herbie Goes Bananas, and Sky High.

Actor Sean Connery Dies at 90
In sad news, the Oscar-winning actor, Sean Connery, has passed away at the age of 90. Famously known as the first person to portray the fictional spy, James Bond, in a feature film, Mr. Connery (1930-2020) also gained fame for his many other film appearances. He even appeared early in his career in the 1959 Disney film, Darby O’Gill and the Little People.
He shall be missed!
Singer Helen Reddy Dies at 78
The singer, Helen Reddy, has sadly passed away at the age of 78. Ms. Reddy (1941-2020) was known as a feminist icon after her song, I Am Woman, became an anthem for second-wave feminism. She also acted in the 1977 Disney film, Pete’s Dragon. My condolences go out to her family and friends! She shall be missed!
