Tron: Ares (2025)

(SPOILERS AHEAD!)

Directed by Joachim Rønning, Tron: Ares is the third film in Disney’s Tron franchise. Jared Leto plays Ares, a Master Control program, that enters the real world seeking a “permanence code”, computer code that will prevent him from “dying” all the time. Also looking for that code is Eve Kim, played by Greta Lee, a human CEO who wants to spend time again with her sister (also a human CEO) who died from cancer.

Lilo & Stitch (2025)

(SPOILERS AHEAD!)

The Dean Fleischer Camp-directed remake of Lilo & Stitch was pretty much what I expected: a remake that felt uninspired and uninteresting. A lot of it in the beginning also felt like a shot-for-shot copy, which wasn’t good news to me since I’m one of the few people who was never fond of the animated 2002 Disney Canon film in the first place!

Snow White (2025)

(SPOILERS AHEAD!)

One of the least-anticipated live-action Disney remakes was Snow White. Be it due to antifeminist or super feminist (depends who you ask) remarks made by Rachel Zegler about the character and the original 1937 film or due to the pro-Zionist/pro-Israel stance of Gal Gadot or due to the removal of the entire concepts of “dwarfs” from both the title of the film and the plot of the film, Snow White was a box office flop waiting to happen!
