Godmothered (2020)

(If this is your first time on this blog, I ask you to read my About page first! Thanks!)

We’ve seen multiple fairy tale revisionist stories over the years with Disney’s Enchanted probably being the best example of them. Last year, director Sharon Maguire gave us another fairy tale revisionist story, this time one focusing on the Godmother figure. Without further ado, here is my review of the Disney+ film, Godmothered!

Stargirl (2020)

(If this is your first time on this blog, I ask you to read my About page first! Thanks!)

No, this film isn’t about the DC superhero, Courtney Whitmore. Rather, this film is an adaptation of a Jerry Spinelli novel of the same name. Directed by Julia Hart, Stargirl debuted on Disney+ in March 2020. Do I think it’s a film deserving of a star or not? Read on to find out!

Togo (2019)

(If this is your first time on this blog, I ask you to read my About page first! Thanks!)

In 1925, a number of mushers along with their dog sled teams were involved in an effort to deliver antitoxins to diphtheria sufferers in the city of Nome, Alaska and the surrounding areas. Many, if not most, of those infected were children. This event became a national news story and one of the dogs named Balto became a national hero. A statue of him was erected in Central Park, New York, and even an animated film based on him was released in 1995.

Granted, loosely-based.

However, director Ericson Core, tells us in this film about one of the forgotten canine heroes of this adventure: Togo. Is the film worth checking out? Read on to find out!

And remember, SPOILERS AHEAD!

2nd Time Poll: Should I Review Original Disney+ Live-Action Films?

Hello readers,

I had asked this question a few months ago when Disney+ had just debuted, but after advice from a follower, I decided to wait until Disney+ was 6 months old before asking again.

My question is: Should I review original Disney+ live-action films on this blog as well? I currently only review the theatrical live-action films, but should I review the ones that debut on Disney+ as well?

Let me know what you think!
