I was wondering what are your thoughts on the Mary Poppins Returns that’s being made? Do you group that in with the live action remakes?
Well, they’ve made it clear that it’s a sequel and not a remake; it takes place many years after the first film where Jane and Michael are adults now.
Because we’re in an era of all these remakes, I’m more accepting of Mary Poppins Returns being made and would gladly accept a sequel. But had this film been released in a time where we weren’t having remakes, I’d be more against the film as I feel Mary Poppins doesn’t need a sequel. It’s one of those things that because of the timing when it’s released, I’m more open about it.
That makes sense and is very fair. I’m trying to keep an open mind. I’m at least very curious what they will do with it.
Ugh….jumped the gun. I should’ve checked! My only other guess would be The Three Lives of Thomasina. That’s the only other movie with Matthew Garber and Karen Dotrice that I can think of.

Hmmm…I honestly don’t know this one, though I was tempted to cheat by looking up what films those actors appeared in. 🙂 They look younger here.
