Almost Angels (1962)

Released as Born to Sing in the UK, Almost Angels is a little-known Disney film dealing with the famous Vienna Choir Boys. Directed by Steve Previn (André Previn’s brother), this is a film that if it weren’t for Disney+, I probably wouldn’t have ever seen it! But is it a film that should be checked out? Let’s take a look!

It’s that time of year again wherein I take a break from the reviews until January. Before I go on my hiatus, I’ll leave you with a list of the live-action Disney films set to hit theaters next year that I plan on reviewing here. Let me know which films you’re looking forward to!
(Keep in mind that these are only the theatrically-released live-action Disney films that are eligible to be reviewed on my blog. Hence, there will be no Star Wars, Marvel Studios, or documentary films listed. I also haven’t decided whether or not to review Disney+ original films yet. Finally, keep in mind that these dates are tentative and subject to change. Enjoy!)

Eight Below (2006)

In 1958, a Japanese expedition to Antarctica ended with fifteen huskies being left behind. Miraculously almost a year later, some of the huskies were found still alive! This story was made into a 1983 Japanese film called Antarctica which served as a loose basis for the 2006 Disney film, Eight Below.
Is Eight Below a film deserving of a score below eight? Or is it actually worth checking out? Read my review below to decide for yourself!

Benji the Hunted (1987)

When you decide to watch all the theatrically-released Disney movies, you’re bound to come across some that you dread watching. For some, it may be the westerns. For me, it’s the ones featuring non-speaking animals doing things!
And today’s film is one of those! I honestly didn’t know anything about the Benji franchise prior to watching this film, but I guess the franchise was popular enough to have Disney be involved in one of the films! I’m not sure exactly how involved they were, but I’m going to review the film anyway! Rest comfortably as I try to speed through Benji the Hunted.
