Imagine if you were a young kid with a blank check in your possession. What amount would you fill it out for? What would you buy with the money? That’s pretty much the premise of Blank Check, a 1994 Disney film directed by Rupert Wainwright. Is it worth “checking” out (see what I did there?)? Read on to find out!

Today’s film is a somewhat infamous one. It has notoriously received negative reviews and was was one of only three films that the renowned film critic, Gene Siskel, walked out of in his professional career!
So naturally I had to check this film out! And after getting a request to do so from a reader, Jon H, I felt the time was right! Do I agree with Gene Siskel on this film? Or do I find this to be an underrated comedy? Read on to find out!

Of all the live-action Disney remakes announced, Aladdin was probably one of the more talked-about for a number of reasons. Would it offend the memory of Robin Williams? Would it portray Middle Eastern/Persian/Indian culture in a less offensive way in some scenes? Would it actually decide if the culture portrayed should be Middle Easter, Persian, or Indian? Is Guy Ritchie really the best choice to direct this film? Would Iago and Rajah be cut?
It seems that most of these worries were quickly relieved as the film grossed over a billion dollars at the box office. But what do I think of this remake? Read on to find out!

Directed by Robert Stevenson, That Darn Cat! proves to be an interesting entry in the live-action Disney films lineup. It was Disney star Hayley Mills’ last of six films she made for Disney (not counting future TV sequels) as well as future Disney star Dean Jones’ first of ten films he would make for Disney (again not counting cameo appearances in future remakes). But is that the only thing the film should be noted for or is it actually worth remembering for its quality? Let’s take a look at That Darn Cat!!

Yes, I know that this isn’t a live-action film at all (barring like one shot in the beginning of the film), but Disney is treating this like their live-action remakes and I know many of you would like to see how I rank it compared to the other live-action remakes. Hence, I am reviewing it on this blog!
It’s also my blog and I can do what I want!
When Disney hit gold with their 2016 live-action remake of The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau, it only made sense for them to try to do it again with another animal-themed film. What better one than the film considered by many to be their magnum opus, The Lion King?
Before I dive into the review, I’d like to point out that it’s nigh impossible to watch this film without comparing it to the original! As the story is literally the same overall, I’ll try to point out the changes that were made in this remake. With that in mind, be prepared!
