The actress, Kelly Preston, has shockingly and sadly passed away at the age of 57. Mrs. Preston (1962-2020) passed away due to breast cancer. The wife of actor, John Travolta, she acted in multiple films including the Disney films, Sky High and Old Dogs. My condolences go out to her family and friends! She shall be missed!

Freaky Friday (1976)
(If this is your first time on this blog, I ask you to read my About page first! You can find a link to it at the top left-hand corner of this blog. Thanks!)
Freaky Friday was originally a 1972 novel written by composer and author, Mary Rodgers (daughter of Richard Rodgers of Rodgers and Hammerstein fame). It was similar to an 1882 novel by F. Anstey entitled Vice Versa: A Lesson to Fathers wherein a father and son swap bodies. Mary Rodgers would switch up the formula by having a mother and daughter swap bodies. She even wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation. So with the original author writing the screenplay, is this Gary Nelson-directed Disney comedy any good? Read on to find out!

Sigh, we just HAD to get a sequel to Maleficent, huh? Yes, Joachim Rønning is directing now, but Linda Woolverton is still involved with the screenplay. Even based on the trailers, this film doesn’t seem any better than its predecessor. Oh well, let’s get this over with. Here’s my review of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil!

Treasure of Matecumbe (1976)
(If this is your first time on this blog, I ask you to read my About page first! You can find a link to it at the top left-hand corner of this blog. Thanks!)
Probably the Disney film with the most unique or “exotic”-sounding title, Treasure of Matecumbe is one of those more forgotten Disney films. And as been common with recent films I’ve reviewed here, it’s directed by Vincent McEveety. It should be known that the film is on Disney+, but with the disclaimer, “This program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions.”.
So, is this a treasure worth unearthing or better left buried? Read on to find out!
