Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N. (1966)

We’ve arrived at the last live-action Disney film with Dick Van Dyke that I haven’t reviewed yet (until Mary Poppins Returns is released).

Interestingly enough, this is the only film wherein Walt Disney has a story credit, albeit as “Retlaw Yensid”!

Loosely based on the Daniel Defoe novel, Robinson Crusoe, Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N. isn’t a well-known Disney film, but is that necessarily a bad thing? Read on to find out!

Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993)

As you all know, I wasn’t a fan of Disney’s The Incredible Journey. (Well, if you didn’t know, please check out my review of it.) I found it incredibly boring and honestly hadn’t even heard of it before. I HAD heard of Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey though, but never saw it nor knew that it was a remake. I couldn’t understand why someone would want to remake The Incredible Journey for any other reason besides fixing its flaws.

So surely, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey must be a better film, right? Well, let’s find out!

Kidnapped (1960)

Having previously made a film adaptation based on a novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, it wasn’t long after for the Disney Studios to try it again. This brings us to the little-known 1960 film, Kidnapped!

Coincidentally, no relation!
